Is anybody else just anxiously waiting to hear back from the GMU nursing program? By this time the past 2 years, applicants already heard back. Really hoping to hear from this soon!!
Wondering if the excessive time to review applicants is giving anyone else pause? I submitted my application back in December so it's been over 4 months. I heard back from the other two schools months ago. I've read the other posts about this program's lack of organization. Do you think this process is indicative of broader issues from a program management aspect?
As someone in the program right now, I can tell you it's fairly disorganized. But when I meet people at clinical from other programs, they generally complain about the same types of things we do.
It really sucks, but you gotta roll with the punches in this program (and nursing in general).
Also, I am more than happy to answer any questions. Just know answers to subjective questions are based on my experiences alone.
The school is up for re-accreditation this year. I think rumors flew around because the CCNE was visibly around for a few weeks. Students didn't realize the school needs to re-accredited every 10 years, so people were wondering what was happening. An email was sent out that the CCNE folks would be around but I'm sure people ignored it.
I suppose we don't know the results yet, but the school has been accredited for decades and it has way nicer facilities and resources than it did 10 years ago.
