Is anyone accepted into the Fall of 2020 cohort? Looking forward to meeting some of my classmates & hearing about your background!

Hello,

I got accepted. Super excited to start. It's literally right around the corner

Hi I was wondering if you had time to talk about your stats and application process (sorry I was not allowed to send a message privately)

Hi Juana,

the application process was extremely easy! When I filled out the info online to find out more information, I received a call from a school admissions counselor who walked me through the process and even helped me with obtaining my transcripts. I had to write a personal statement, obtain transcripts, have my references fill out a form, and then they waived my application fee because of covid. It only took about 3 weeks to receive an official decision. My undergraduate grades weren’t great, I think cumulative 2.98 for my BSN but my nursing classes alone were a 3.7 and then I wrote a statement about my GPA. I really enjoyed GMU’s

process overall!

Ah OK im applying for the traditional program just really worried that my GPA is not competitive enough I have a 3.3 GPA but obtained Bs for my A&P courses (did you take the HESI exam). I'm hoping to obtain my CNA license and get experience but still cant get over the fear of wasting a year and not getting in. but thank you so much for your response

Ohhh I have no idea how competitive their  traditional program is. Mine was for the nurse practitioner:(  you should absolutely apply to more than one school and see what happens, it’s not wasting a year if you find something else you’re interested in/work in the field to get experience in the meantime.  Good luck!
