George Fox University CRNA - 2026

I only saw a post for last year, and with the application deadline being tomorrow I figured I'd kick it off! Good luck everyone!

Did anyone else get a call or email? They could be breaking them up.

No call or email.

Did ICUNurseGuy delete his comment? I can't find the original.

Haven't heard anything on my end.

Does anyone else thinks it's odd no one else has heard anything but one person?

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I got a call from the director last evening and was offered a spot.

I was surprised to get this call.  To save some follow up questions: on paper I am a decent candidate.  My grades are good though some science courses are as old as 15 years.  I have almost 7 years of ICU experience (2 in neuro/trauma, >1.5 as a COVID traveler and 3 at my current medical/CVICU.  I started in med/surg in 2016.  I hold CCRN and CMC, I do a few RRT shifts per month at my medium sized hospital and I get CRRT, IABP and Impellas just a handful of times per year.  I place ultrasound guided IVs.  I don't work in the highest acuity setting.  I don't think I'm the best nurse on my unit on any given night, but I do consider myself well rounded, adaptable and I come with broad exposure.

This was my seventh school application and interview since 2020.  I've interviewed all over the country.  If anyone else has been in my shoes, all confidence gets lost after the first 3 or 4 rejections and you start questioning if you really want it or are actually capable of getting through school.  If this is what you want to do, keep your head down and do not quit the journey.  Luck is the intersect of opportunity and preparation.

I did attend the in person open house days after the application closed and was able to meet faculty and current students.  I'm glad I did.  I'm really excited about this blossoming program and the unique aspects of it, especially the hybrid model and emphasis on service to your community and the PNW.  The director seems like a phenomenal human and is extremely kind (I'm not saying that just because I got in).  He shared his touching personal story and mission on the school website, it is worth the read.

He said official emails will go out some time later after everyone who was accepted has been called.

Of course I post this and then no less than an hour later I got a call that I was accepted and they offered me a position. Good luck to everyone. They must be doing offers in waves.

Has anyone made a Facebook page?

I wonder if they are doing it alphabetically or just calling their top candidates first? My last name starts with an "I”…. I'm hoping I get a call later this week.

I got a call as well and was accepted.

Maybe, but my first and last name start with an A and I got called this afternoon. So who knows. Just gotta focus on that they are not done with calls and no one has been waitlisted or denied so the possibility is still very very real!

Did anyone make a FB page yet?
