George Fox University CRNA - 2026

Published

I only saw a post for last year, and with the application deadline being tomorrow I figured I'd kick it off! Good luck everyone!

Specializes in ICU.

Following! I tried looking at last year's posts about interview questions but didn't find anything related to EI or clinical topics.

Still 46 interview times still available.

Hi all! Congrats to those who received an interview! I am grateful for the opportunity, myself 🙂 Best of luck!

Everyone that got interview so far have Oregon license?

I'm pretty sure. I emailed the admissions counselor and she said it was unfortunately a definite requirement.

I got an interview invite and I don't have an Oregon license. I just have my compact one.

Oh wow! I emailed the admissions counselor and she had replied, "Yes, proof of a current unencumbered Oregon RN license is required by the time of the application deadline - October 1st. (We have many out of state applicants and this is required for all). " so I shelled out $400 for that license. 😞

Ooh man... that's unfortunate. Well hopefully you get accepted so it doesn't go to waste!!

Anyone know how many days we get to register for an interview spot? I already did but it didn't say or maybe I just missed it how long we get.

Good morning all,

I'm am a current student in the CRNA program at George Fox and wanted to give you guys some insight before your interviews that my classmate shared:
Expect a 50/50 split on clinical questions and emotional intelligence questions

If you're a capable ICU nurse, you should be fairly prepared for the clinical stuff (medication knowledge like pressors and sedation, how to respond promptly to decompensation scenarios requiring RSI or procedural collaboration, etc)

For the EI stuff, take some time to do some introspection and soul searching. This interview is as much you shopping for a school as it is them shopping for students. If you're fake and just trying to suck up on screen, they'll know and they don't want that. Having answers ready to go that are honest with yourself about why you want to do this and what you hope to get out of the program will go miles. Just be real.

Have some real questions to ask of them at the end. Like we said, you're shopping too. What else do you want to know that *IS NOT AVAILABLE* on their website or informational resources? Try to find the questions that seal the deal for you from a life/emotional/health/non-academic perspective.

I hope this helps you all with an idea of how to tackle the interview.
Best of luck!!

Thank you so much! Can you tell us how you are liking the program so far? Do you feel supported? Is the workload/material difficult for you to handle? Thank you!

I am loving it and impressed with the flow honestly, for being a new program. The faculty has been very supportive and have answered our questions when we have them. They also value our opinions as students in the program and take our feedback. The flow has been organized.  The work has been bearable and sustainable. Our average grades for our exams have been anywhere from 90-95%, which I think says a lot about the teaching of the instructors. Myself as well as several others have been able to pick up shifts throughout this semester for work. The way things are set up right now, we are able to work ahead and get things done early, leaving more time to study material. I do not know how certain classes will change going forward, but it has been a great experience so far.
