well i applied to an accelerated program

and they said they did not receive my college transcripts from my undergrad

i checked with the college and she gave me a receipt and said they did and the college that i was applying to gave a receipt letter.

I faxed the received letter to the program today

is any1 else having the same problem of sending transcripts and school actually receiving them?

I had lots of problems with our schools admission we are a very small school with too many applicants, things get lost very easy. I had a number of incidents, but the best one was, after I handed in my application I got a call saying they didn't have my transcripts from my old school. I had sent them in twice before for other programs and for evaluation etc... we also have to send them to the school and then again seperatly to the department, I was sure I did this. Turns out they were filed under my maiden name which is what my name was when I went to the previous school. Thankfully they called, which surprises me they typically do not call for anything, they look for it and find it not there and you get put in the rejection pile.

I had a ton of problems getting my transcripts sent, since all my previoius schools of attendance were in New Orleans. Have them sent again, and see if they will at least look at a faxed transcript (they might, since you have a copy of the receipt letter) if your deadline is approaching rapidly. You'll probably have to pay for them again too, but if it's that or not get in...I hated having to do all that, and trying to get people on the phone, and it kept going to voicemail, and they never return your call...does the school you're applying to require that the old school mail it directly to them? If not, offer to pick it up and drive it over if the distance isn't too bad, or send it registered mail and request the receipt yourself.

Thanx a lot!

I never knew we could send it over ourselves....

but i will def go tomorrow and ask them.. it won't hurt to ask them... its not too far one hour...

im scared i wont get in r u in a nursing program?

if so, which one? is it accelerated?

thanx for ur reply

Unless a school absolutely requires that your schools send in the transcripts directly to them, the best advice I have is to get all of your transcripts/recommendations, etc. and send them to the school yourself in one large envelope. This consolidates all of your documents and you don't have to worry about envelopes trickling in and being accounted for. This way, you are responsible for making sure the get there. Send the package via some trackable method (e.g. USPS Priority Mail, FedEx, whatever) and get proof of receipt.

thanx for ur reply . I will find otu and then see what happens.
