Congrats! and Welcome. We certainly understand. This catches us all by surprise when we find how difficult it really is. Try to get as much sleep as possible. I know that calls for lol but really that is the part that eventually wears me down and I get sick and I DONT GET SICK. You are doing wonderfully and don't worry about grades.
Nuring students tend to be overachievers. We workd so hard to get into school and we can't let go of that high average. You may just have to take less than a 4.0 for a class or two especially if you are working. It is O. K. Allow a little imperfection or you willl kill yourself. This is very tough. If you get the 4.0 wonderful but if you get 3.somthing that is wonderful too. give yourself more flexibility than that. From one who has been there
Your managing quite a fantastic feat. I was lucky enough not to have to work, I can't imagine full-time. I couldn't pull off your grades even without working! Congrats to you!
I read one of your posts on another thread and actually thought "wow, where's she been?" Good to see you back.
Hope all went well your first night at the hospital. I remember that day vividly, not for bad reasons, just because.
I know it's easier said than done, but get your rest. Everything else will fall into place.
Keep us posted,
Heather

i am so sorry that i haven't been around more, but i never knew that working full-time and going to nursing school would be so difficult. i don't remember the last time i got more than 6 hours of sleep in a row. i am mentally and physically exhausted! :zzzzz we have our first night at the hospital tonight. we just going to go through orientation and get our room asssignment. nothing major, but i am still nervous.
we have had a couple of tests so far. in foundations, i have a 90 average. in dosage, i have a 100 average. i am shooting for a 4.0 semester (94-100 is an a), but ... i guess we have to wait and see!
for those that started this semester, how is it going? is it like you expected?
oh! yeah! i also got braces a couple of weeks ago. not the clear ones. no, we are talking the big ole all metal ones. they hurt so bad! any experts have any advice and/or suggestions?
