Public schools vs Private schools in Denver

Being it is so difficult to get into nursing school, would you please offer any advice regarding public or private nursing programs (ADN) in the Denver, Colorado area. Is it difficult to get into private programs? Which programs are best? I am seriously considering going private and would like experiences or advice. Thanks so much!

If you're going to go to school and work in Denver, I HIGHLY recommend you complete a BSN program, not ADN. The Denver new grad market is extremely competitive, and it's quite challenging to get a hospital job as a new grad as an ADN.

Regis is good (but very expensive). University of Colorado is a very highly regarded program. If you really are set on doing an ADN program, I would recommend one of the many great community college programs (Red Rocks, Front Range, etc). I would NOT recommend a private ADN program, because most of those are for-profit, and are not accredited with ACEN/CCNE.
