Pharmacology Study Tips?

Does anyone have suggestions on study tips or some "different" ways to memorize Pharmacology other than just memorizing 800 billion drugs? I start Pharma 1 on Jan3 and this is the class that fails the most students out of our accellerated program.

You dont have to memorize 800 million drugs. Know the ones that are common (which are about a million) and read them over and over and over...and over....and over. and then read them again. So technically youre really not memorizing =D Making use of that reverberating circuit in your brain really does work! There's really no shortcut to it. Read...a lot!

I spent more time on Pharm last quarter than any other class. It just takes LOTS of studying and understanding why the drugs are used as much as memorizing them. We only have 1 pharm class during our 7 quarter ADN program so there was a lot of content in 10 weeks It is a hard course any way you look at it, I know of at least 10 people that will not be continuing with us next quarter due to their grades.
