I got the greatest job I think I could have as a nursing student, and I had to share with everyone!! I have put in applications for years at the largest medical center in my area with no luck. I got some phone numbers of recruiters and they lead to more phone numbers, but this time it payed off!! This amazing recruiter set me up an appointment with the department head of Med/Surg. After only about 20 minutes I was offered a position as a clinical assistant. I have never been more confident or enthusiastic about nursing school than ever before!
I have worked ambulance and have an incomplete quadraplegic wife, but this is my first job in a clinical environment. I would like any advice or input from folks that have experience. If you have any I would appreciate it! Thank you.:balloons: :balloons:
Well, it is my opinion that if you have worked ambulance, have an incomplete quadripalegic wife, AND are in nursing school, you don't have anything to worry about. I am sure you will do great!
