Have you tried applying for sponsorship from a local hospital?
I'm not sure if this applies but the school I attend is a hospital based program. They have a program that offers scholarships to pay for tuition, books, etc. and you pay back by working after school.
I applied for that but did not get it this year. I can apply again next year which I will do for sure! I think they try to get the scholarships to the students closer to graduation so maybe I iwll be able to get it in the next year or two.
Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Hi all! I'm a nursing student and unfortunately I have maxed my undergrad loan amount in the pursuit of my Psychology degree. I went to school for several years and got a BA in Psych. Then I started on my Masters. I only have a thesis left and I decided - I want to be a nurse!
So, I'm almost done with my first term - our Final exam is on Thursday and I've got a very high B average, it may be an A now I'm not sure! So I am doing great. BUT - I had to pay out of pocket this term and was seriously behind and finally got a partial scholarship.
Now i'm looking at next term. I can't even afford books but I've got to find a way to pay for tuition. Chances are I won't get a scholarshp but I have applied for every one that the financial aid offices lists and the ones I find online.
I can't get approved for the private loans b/c Hubby and I had a bankruptcy in 2000.
Just wondering if anyone else had these types of issues? Thanks for letting me share!
