Okay, for all of you are in the pre req classes. I was wondering about this courseload. I want to maintain a good gpa.
A&P I
Philosophy
Nutriton
Summer
A&P II
Ethics?
Do you think my summer load will be too much? I don't know too much about Phil or Ethics. I was trying to get a couple of more things out of the way. Is it poss to take anything with A&P?
Thanks guys,
Jenny

If you need only one or the other, I would go for your spring classes as you have them and then just do the A&P 2. Usually during the summer it is all accelerated and besides the lecture for A&P you'll have lab hours.
Are you going for an ADN or a BSN?
I, too, am taking A&P 1 and nutrition during the spring semester...we'll have to keep in touch!

I am taking a&P I and microbiology in the spring and A&PII in the summer. I asked a similar question about a week ago, and many people informed me that this is very doable. I was told that one benefit of taking these classes in the spring/summer is that there isn't enough time to forget the information.
Yes,
I have to take both Phil and Ethics. Actually, I have to take Ethics and then applied Ethics and morals. Bleck. Anyway. I am enrolling in a BSN program. I decided on this route vs. the ADN because it only added an additional year to my grad date. I think it will work out better for me in the long run as I will not have to try to go back to school while working unless I decide to pursue my Masters.

Do you have to take Pathophysiology? If so, it may be wise to not take A & P II right away. That relates more to Patho, and our A & P II instructor recommended this. I did the same as you and have Patho this semester, so I'll let you know how much I've forgotten in a year and a half.

Kristy,
Yep, actually in my program they put patho in with pharm and dimensions of nursing 2. Also included in that semester is theology, and a lit or elec. I am hoping to have the Theology, and Lit already completed.

Jenny,
You will do well, during the summer I took, A&PI, microbiology, anthropology and chemistry and I did well. I got A's and B's. For the fall, I took the following;
American History I &2
A&PII
Life cycle
Nutrition
Statistics.
19 credits in all and I did well. I came out with a 3.3 GPA. You can do it girl! go for it.
Ann.
Ann,
OMGosh! I am tired just thinking of your schedule. Do you have children? Whew! I thought two classes during the summer would be diff, let alone 4!! Whew! Good for you!
Thanks for your reply.
Ann, I forgot to ask,
Did you like Statistics? Was it terribly hard?
Jen
Statics is fairly easy, you just have to know the concepts. I have two kids here, one is three and the other nine. I have an A in that class. I did not like it at first but by practicing, I realized that it is not bad after all.
Good luck!
Wow Ann,
Now I am really impressed. I have 3 children. (9, 6 and 3) I would love to pm with you or email to compare study habits. I would love to know how you organize your time. This web site has been so helpful in giving me good tips for school.
pm or email me if you want. :)
Thanks,

I think that courseload is fine. Your GPA won't suffer at all.
