I've been studying on and off for my exit HESI exam. It is a requirement as part of my last nursing course to pass with a recommended score. I'm taking it for the 1st time on April 10th.
I honestly just have two questions for all of you...
How/What did you study to pass HESI?
Is it a matter of Luck or Intelligence?
I do not know why everyone says there is no "Luck" when taking the HESI test. The first time I took it, I scored an 82% CR. I then studied (basically) the same material as I had before and was prepairing to study some new material when I had a family emergency. When I was set to take the second test, I was unable to postpone it or I might miss graduating.
So I took it again with basically no new material and scored a 91% CR. I can seroiusly say that I doubt I was 10% smarter the second time I took the test.I would say luck plays at least 10%.

Saunders 3rd edition Comprehensive review for NCLEX was all I used.
and.. I saw at least 15 questions on the HESI that came straight from the Saunders book. I was like " ohhhh, I know that and that.." nice feeling
