HELP! I am currently a freshman at Penn State University. Berks Campus. I going on my second semester. I was admitted as a undeclared major. After my 2 year, I will go up to Main Campus. I do not know if I have to just change my major, and will automatically be placed in the nursing program, or if I will have to apply. I am taking Chemistry and Physiology along with other general ed's this semester. Can someone help me?!?

Hi, lpv!

A good place to start would be to speak with your academic advisor about it, and make your intentions clear that you want to be in the nursing program.

Your advisor should make certain that you file any needed paperwork, and that you're taking all the appropriate pre-reqs for the nusing division.

Best of luck!

Make an appointment with the department head of nursing at the campus where the nursing program is. This serves two purposes:

1. They can give you a written break down of classes that you need.

2. By meeting the head of the department of nursing, when you apply, they will remember you.....hey every little bit helps!

Thank you for your opinions.!:D

I am pretty sue with PSU that you must apply for the nursing program in order to declare it as your major.

I agree with essarge talk to someone in the department. And Good Luck!

There is a girl from Berks County in our program in Lancaster ;)
