I saw that University of Maryland has dropped the GRE requirement for their MSN programs.

Has anyone else noticed any other schools doing something similar?

Many, many years ago, it seems to me that I came across a school that did not require the GRE for postgraduate admissions. I remember being rather surprised at the time. Don't remember the name of the school, but then, this was at least 20 years ago. I agree with the decision to drop the GRE for nursing. Don't see the correlation between the GRE and higher educ in nursing. Graduation from school is enough of a demonstration that one is academically prepared as far as I see it.

Not sure about observing a trend as I haven't investigated it for a long period of time...UCLA does not require it for their DEMSN program, but I have to take it (this Saturday no less) for my JHU and Columbia applications!

Grr...:o

Good luck Asherah!
