Graduation Gift

Hi All,

I graduated tonight and my oldest Son and his girlfriend gave me the best stethescope I've ever had - an Ultrascope. I've tried a bunch, my husband is a Resp. Therapist and gave me one of his Littman to use in school. It was better than the rest, but whenever I'd have a really elderly patient, it just never picked up their heart beat well (always very faint).

We tried out the Ultrascope tonight and have to say I've never heard a heart beat "so loud", it was amazing - really wish I'd had this all through school. I know everyone has their preferences, but if you're looking around for one, give this one a try, the volume is fantastic. It will help me out so much in my new job and just a great surprise from a Wonderful Son...

I've heard that transport and flight nurses like Ultrascopes as well because they can hear their patient even over all that noise. You can even listen through clothes - one of our nurses tried hers out by listening to her son's heart through his huge winter parka and she could hear it clear as a bell!

What kind did you get?

I have a lavendar one with a lavendar smiley face, and a red one with a multicolored glitter face.
