good morning! i just have a few quick questions. i'm making my genogram right now for my health history interview and i was wondering..if the patient states that his grandfather didn't have any health problems and that he died of "old age", i would put the age he died at and would i put "natural causes" underneath his box on the genogram? also, if the patient's brother was diagnosed with skin cancer but is in remission would i write "well" underneath "skin cancer"? i just started nursing school and this is the first time i have ever had to make a genogram. oh yeah, another question (heh sorry) if his mother has an irregular heartbeat, would i write "irregular heartbeat" or "heart arrhythmia"? thank you for your help in advance!! have a wonderful day!

It probably depends on what your instructor wants. Personally, I would say natural causes on the death, just list skin cancer with the brother, and arrhythmia with the mother.
