First semester finished....whew!

Published

Well, this old lady did alright after completing her first semester of college (20 years after high school!!)

2 A's and a B...I really do wish I had paid more attention in high school...LOL

How did you all do?

Congratulations to us all.....keep it going!

I start my summer classes next week...can't wait! (my children think I have really gone off the deep end now)

Have a great summer, everyone :)

Christine :)

22 years out of high school............my kids think I am crazy, one is mad at me for deciding to go back (afraid I will have no time for her). My reply is.............Do your home work beside me, and we will have plenty of time together :)

Well, I think we all deserve one, huge "WAY TO GO!!" I am so excited that there are so many of us out here, irregardless of our age or position in life, that have gone back to school & working hard. I am proud of ALL of you folks out there, proving you can attain anything as long as you try hard! Julie, congratulations on your A, good for you!

I am astonished at how many of my fellow students are my age, or near it. I really thought I'd be the "old chick" in the group, but am proud and happy to see there are lots of us out here!

Way to go, everyone!

My summer classes start tomorrow and back to studying, I guess. My 7 year old thinks it's pretty funny that I have to go to school while she'll be out in a week! Oh well, I wouldn't trade this for the world!

Let me know how you're all doing, ok?

Good luck, keep going, and remember, laugh once in a while, it's good for your soul!

Christine :)

It's nice to hear of others just starting out on the 'pre-req trail'. I've been out of school for 17 years now and just started back this past semester. I took two classes and got an 'A' in each of them. I was shocked! I thought for sure that between five kids (4-15) and my hubby, I surely didn't have many operational brain cells left. Guess I was wrong.

I'm only taking a medical terminology class this Summer. The rest of my time will be spent trying to keep 5 bored kids from killin' each other while they are out of school. Ha!

PSY 101 is on the schedule for the Fall semester. Slowly, but surely I'll get that ASN degree! My goal is to work in Labor & Delivery. I was so thrilled to get to see my first birth (not the same when you are busy having the baby yourself!) at the hospital where I volunteer.

Have a Good One You All!!

Renee :)
