First Day of Second Semester? How did it go?

Today was my first day back and I must say GOOOODDDD GRAAAAVEEEYYY!!:uhoh21:

Our professors threw so much information and projects at us I thought my brain was going to explode. I have to keep reminding myself to take things one day at a time. My first clinical is this friday in OB, I have clinical orientation on Wed, I didn't get the clinical site I wanted, we have IV checkoffs next week, and I have to do a project for a health fair. I'm not good at talking to a huge group of people. One on one anyday but a group of 5 or more I start stuttering and shaking. I just hope I do as well as I did last semester this semester. Out of a class of 108 only 87 of us remain and that's not including the LPN's we now have added to our class. It was so sad to realize everyone who was missing and didn't make it.

How did your first day go?

We have more clinical hours this 2nd semester and less class time hours. We've had 2 snow days so far that set us back with class time. Am cramming for an A&P test next week, have to write care plans from this weeks clinical and prepare for a oral presentation on Fluid/Electrolyte Imbalances. Sometimes I wonder ....?! :)

We don't go back until the 24th, and I'm actually getting a bit bored and anxious to go back! We already got our lecture schedule so I know what to expect as far as reading and assignments go. We got our clinical schedule in December, as well. I'm a bit disappointed that it's at the same place, but I'm trying to look on the bright side that I already know many of the nurses, where all the supplies are kept, etc.

I'm excited to get on with things! In February/March they'll be conducting interviews for externships starting in May, so that's what I'm most looking forward to at this point.
