Its rumored that my school will be doing away with care plans for the incoming nursing class (my class). Is this happening at your school?

Sure hope not. Care plans, while sometimes tedious and a little boring are actually great for helping to develop critical thinking skills. They are also NURSE driven as opposed to physician driven -- I know writing them can be time cosuming, but .................

We have a policy that each patient in ouse has to have atleast 2 care plans on their chart and those MUST be reviewed and updated daily. We seem to have difficulty getting staff to do that though. What is is about the whole care plan thing that makes folks so reluctant to use them? We have a number of prepared care plans even -- staff doesn't have to develop their own -- Any thoughts?
