I am starting my first semester of nursing school in August and I would like to know if any of you have purchased any NCLEX review books yet? I understand that many nursing students review as they go through school and some people are able to score higher on their tests while in nursing classes. How many of you have purchased and used these books and have they helped you?
Many Thanks! :)

Ann,
I have the Lipincott's review for the NCLEX and it has been really helpful. Last semester, we had Med/Surg and Psych and I would do the practice questions for the sections that applied to the test I was about to take, and it was great!! It really helps you understand the type of questions the instructors may ask and the info they are looking for. However, this book was written by several professors from my nursing school (Indiana University), including my two psych instructors so it might have been more helpful to me than to others....I don't know.
Good luck,
Ami

I liked Saunder's because it tells you why an answer was wrong as well as why the answers were right. Mosby's didn't have that.
