Associate Degree evening programs

Nursing Students General Students

Published

Greetings all,

I currently live in SE Wisconsin and am looking for anyone that may know of an evening and weekend nursing program. Working full time during the day does not work for most places. I have to find some way of getting clinical experience.

Thanks,

Ed

Ed,

I hope you find what you're looking for because I'm in the same boat as you. I'm only doing my prereqs right now but in the back of my head I'm trying to figure out how I can swing clinicals once I get into the program. Unfortunately, most of the programs in metro Atlanta that I've seen are geared toward the traditional student. Like you, I also have to work to support the family, etc.

I was even thinking about approaching the nursing school administration to see what it would take to get a night/weekend track added. The just recently added an accelerated track because of people asked for it, so I figure they may do the same if there is enough interest. We'll have to see.

Good luck.

Where in SE Wisconsin, I'm in Milwaukee....small world.

I know here, we don't have any evening programs unless you already have your RN and working toward your BSN. There are alot of part time programs though.
