applying to nursing school

Hello everyone---

I have applied to three BSN programs, and I was wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes to find out if you have been accepted.

I'm very excited about going back to school, but a little nervous since this will be the first time in 7 years that I am going to be a full time student again.

I have finished all of my pre-reqs, and am just waiting to get started. If all goes well, I will graduate May 2004---just before my 30th birthday!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone this semester.

Susan

In our program here we are usually only notified a month in advance. This year it's a little different because they are going to start off a class in the summer.

Did you have to take the NLN? It was the WORST!

Good Luck!

I don't know what the NLN is, but I had to take the NET (Nurse Entrance Test). Maybe they are the same thing. Only one school required this test before I applied, the other schools require it during orientation. I thought that was weird, but at least I won't have to take it again.

I'm really getting nervous about getting accepted. The program that I want to get into is very competitive, with very few slots.

I'm just curious, where did you apply? I used to live in Dallas. i miss it dearly.

I applied to UT Arlington, Texas Woman's, and Texas Tech. I'm hoping to get into UTA but, from what I hear, it is very competitive.

I don't really want to move to Lubbock, but if I get accepted at Tech, then that is where I'll move.

Texas Woman's has a very high pass rate on the NCLEX, so I would be happy to get in there also.
