Anyone ever think about it?

My birthday is coming up, and I am considering using the money that my out-of-town relatives send me to purchase a webcam. It is something that I have wanted to a couple years, and now that they are coming down in price range, I was thinking about going ahead and getting one. It sure would be nice for Kevin's family to be able to "see" him more often when they talk, since we dont get to Illinois much when I am in school-mode. Anyone else got one? It would be really neat to use them when we have our "support group chats" (which have been few and far between since everyone is always busy these days!). Would be neat for my dad (who is just learning how to use a computer and the net) to be able to see my when he talks to me.

Has anyone else got one, or thought about it? If you do, care to share a website you have it set up on so that I can see how it all works?

I don't have a webcam but I have also wanted one for a while. Others in my family have them and they go to http://www.paltalk.com to chat with each other. There is a website called camcentral.com that has webcams from all over the world if you would like to check out what they can do. Like a regular camera, the more you pay, the more features you will get. Be sure to shop around to get exactly what you want. I envy you, it will be a long time before i can afford one.(spending too much money on books to afford anything else:) )
