What does your facility do for "big wigs"?

Just curious what other facilities do when a "big wig" is admitted. I worked on surgical floor and over years have had several patients that we considered VIP's by our administration. One CEO of corp. (multi-million yr. pay--not including bonuses) had two private rooms (door between and furniture brought in second room), they painted all the walls he would see when returning from surgery, and Dr. gave him FREE colace to take home (one months supply). Give me a break!!!!!

I should add, I think it's human nature to give preferential treatment to someone who is "higher status/class" than others. I don't know why. Think about the movie stars who get all the free crap from companies. They don't need free stuff. The poorer people in our nation do. But will it ever happen? Nope.

Human nature and all that crap, yk?

I don't remember being asked to do anything different or that the administration did anything different than protect privacy... only that I was notified about it.

I did take care of one of our hospital's medical attorneys - she was really nice and even wrote a glowing thank you letter to the administration naming the nurses that took care of her.
