VCR/DVR Alert - Vietnam Nurses with Dana Delany

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I saw a snippet in Entertainment Weekly which gives the doc a good review and states: "Look, you're just going to cry........"

What I like is that it not only is going to tell their story at the time, but the postwar decades of how they coped.

Dana Delany, for those who don't know, is an actress that played a Vietnam nurse in the 90s show "China Beach". It stands as one of the most nurse-positive shows ever aired. Dana Delany states: "I applaud WE TV for giving them (the nurses) the opportunity to share their emotional stories that give a uniquely female view of the Vietnam War." People in charge of the Iraq War should watch the WE documentary to learn how not to conduct an armed conflict. There are lessons to be learned by listening to the brave women who served their country when they often were the last friendly contacts with soldiers who lost their lives in Vietnam."

If you have Direct Tv you have WE (Women's Entertainment Network) you can also do a search on-screen and just look up the partial name of the program and you can find it there if you don't know what channel is WE. I don't pay extra for WE and I have the basic package.
