thinking about becoming an lvn

Nurses General Nursing

Hi everyone, I am planning on going back to school to become an lvn. I've been working in retail for the Last 10 years(28 yrs old), and am finding that this is probably not where I want to be. I recently just had a baby and would like to change my career and go into nursing. I live in California and would like to know how hard it would be to get into this field. I plan to go to community college to start my presecs. I've done some research and know that this would be very rewarding. I do not want to be bashed for asking such silly questions, but would like to know if anyone was in the same situation as I am now and how difficult it is to begin something like this. I work full time as a supervisor right now and plan to go to school for lvn (I kmoe this will be a long process). My plan is to become an lvn and work full time, then go to school whole working to become an rn. Is this possible and/or what should I do differently. As I said I have a baby(4months) and would have to work the entire time to support my child. Please help...
