yes.. yes.. give me the EMT, they each understand the importance of A, B, C's and are excellent at patient transport, and noticing when things "just aren't right" with a patient... Problem.. our hospital doesn't pay them enough. And some nurses wont give any UAP respect. Ive known some EMT's who appear more knowledgable than the "Nurse" they are assisting.. Oh yeah and isnt there a distinction between EMT and Paramedic? Isnt a Paramedics training more in depth? We hve EMT's/ and one fireman in our E.R. as Tech's... But the Paramedics work elswhere for more Pay?...and more respect.

How do you feel about the use of unlicensed assistive personel? I have worked as a paramedic in a small ER alongside of a nurse. I also realize that all paramedics may not have the same experience levels.
There have been a lot of readers of this question-please remember how hard some of your research presentations were HELP!!
