Sometimes the patients may not be as sick as we think

Earlier this week, panic broke out amongst the staff at a long term care facility in Falundborg, Denmark. They had discovered that one of their residents, an 89 year old man had disappeared. The resident was in declining health, and had been bedridden for a longer period of time according to the long term care facility. The police was called in, and an extensive search was started.

The man was actually doing ok, and was later found at a nearby casino. The police escorted the 89 year old back to the long term care facility, but it is unknown at this time if he won any money.

I had the share the story above. I found it in a Danish newspaper today, and I had to laugh.

if he did win, i hope he gets to spend it on himself-rather than the ltc facility eating into any remaining assets.
