    Thanks for the article Natalie. What is not clear to me is whether the CNA had received proper training on how to serve and prepare disabled residents meals for safe consumption or if the aide was in haste and did not consider the consequences of her actions. Also, it was not clear to me what type of recourse and representation she had prior to being "dismissed."

    If this were a med error by a nurse that led to the same results with the resident, would the nurse necessarily have been fired?

    This facility has had similar problems in the past. Is it necessarily the bedside staff only or could it be a management issue?
