Hello guys i'm just wondering if how long is the wait after livescan? I just got hired in Harbor UCLA as a register d nurse 1 / relief nurse 1 anybody has any idea of the processing and how long it is till orientation? Thanks everyone

they didnt get urine sample but they did blood draw on me.. i dont know what kind of test was in it..

They drew blood on me as well but it was only one tube, for a hep B titer. Not sure if it would be possible to test out of that tube for other things...

did you get to start yet, miyarn?! :)

Hi!

I was offered a position at Olive View on 5/3 and did my livescan on 5/4. Since then, I am still waiting for the next step, physical screening.

It has been 2 months, and I am getting impatient!

I called HR and was told that I had to wait since it might take longer sometimes.

Please let me know how long you had to wait till you actually started your job. Did physical screening clear faster than livescan?

Thank you so much.

Hi iamanlagirl! From start (online application) to finish (my first day) my wait was July-January. The county does take time. I spent so much time calling and following up, they really haven't forgotten, it's just that slow! It's hard not to sit around anxious. I think from my live scan clearing to my physical took around 1 month? My physical cleared in 1 week and then I was given my start date which was 2 weeks from that day. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions. :)

NapsAndNursing! Thank you so much for your reply. Wow yours took from July to Jan!? Oh well... I will try to enjoy this time off. One girl I met at HR office during my livescan told me she already had her physical. She was hired for ER department. I think it depends on which department!? Thank you again for your time. I feel much much better now. Now, I think I can be little more patient.

I think it took almost three months for my livescan to clear. I was offered a position in October and did my livescan the same day. Yes also departments and day shift/night shift are a factor. There were people "fast tracked" into med surg at my hospital in less than a month because the need was so great... while I sat around and waited!

Thank you NapsAnd Nursing!

I just received the appointment date for my physical today.

I can't wait to start working.

Hope you are enjoying working at Harbor UCLA!
