I'm sure many of you are more knowledgable about BOOBS than I so, here goes.....

Last October, I went to my OB with complaints of tender lumps around the aereola of each breast. He did a mammogram which came out clear and told me to lay off all caffeine. ( I don't really understand that but ok) I followed his advice and the tenderness subsided.

Well, it's BACK with a vengeance. But only on one side now, and that boob is noticably(if i'm undressed) larger. It's tender like the FULL feeling you get when your milk comes down and you are nursing...This morning I stood up and had that same twinge as I did when I nursed my children.

I don't know what to think. Any ideas??

I'm not by any means asking for a medical diagnosis...just a clue?

Thanks if you read this far....

Hi! I too had a problem sort of like that. I had a fast growing tumor that was removed along with lymph nodes and now I have bad pain in that breast when I near my cycle. Caffeine is something that irritates the cysts I guess, as I have been told to lay off it too! PM me if you would like and I can give you more info or possibly help! Brenda

Call your doc immediately -- you need to be seen asap and insist on a repeat mammogram and/or MRI. You need to follow up on this now. Good luck and take care of your health.

Browneyed/Parker -- That sounds uncomfortable. Please let us know what your doctor says when you go back to see him.

I just wanted to say that, our(mine and my Wifes) thoughts and prayers for a favorable diagnosis are with you. From what symptoms you state, condition appears frightening, but as others here have posted, won't know until MD evaluates. I call my wife the "Bionic Woman" 'cause she just had to have Pacemaker inserted, she's ten years my junior. She was experiencing severe Bradycardia HR in the thirties and forties while at rest and while asleep. She came through the procedure well and in mending very well for being just seven days post-op. We pray that whatever is your plight that you turn it over to Jesus, he will take care of you and cradle you in his loving arms. Please keep this BB posted on your progress, and we will keep you in our prayers also. Jay & Laura

Thanks you guys. My insurance situation is unclear at the moment. My husband works for a small company and they are constantly changing carriers. Current status is "we're in the process of adding you" and it's been that for over a month. And they've not started withholding from hubby's paycheck.

And since i'm branching out on my own with the childbirth classes, I don't want to go in as a charity case and lose any *points* before i even get started......

itsme----i pm'd you.

Tell your doctor exactly what you've posted here -- and tell him/her about your insurance concerns. Please call your doc first thing tomorrow morning. Your lump/swelling may be something totally innocent/benign -- but you really need to check it out immediately. I'm sending good thoughts to you. Please go.
