I have a question for the LPNs out there:
As an RN, I have a hard time understanding why someone would become an LPN. Don't get me wrong, you're a valuable member of the team! But I'm curious as to why you chose practical nursing as opposed to professional. Why go into a branch of nursing that holds less authority, resposibility, and receives less pay?
Please enlighten me!

I you think your learning alot of skills now just wait, in the ADN program you learn alot more in a very short time. Nursing students do plenty of personal care and focus on the theoretical as well. It is a common misconception that the program is filled with "senseless courses" as they don't directly pertain to learning a clinical skill or bedside care. Please wait until you have taken some of the nursing courses before passing judgement on a program's content that you are not currently enrolled in.
And ofcourse the sword swings both ways ie "ie 100% pass rate for the NCLEX-pn for 25 years!" not exactly one for the journals.
