Depression, estrangement from family and/or friends, isolation (not wanting to reveal status), substance abuse, increase in risky activities (reasoning "I'm dead anyway, it doesn't matter").

mercyteapot hit most of the most obvious ones, but after the first shock many of us find that life improves strange as that sounds.Bear in mind I'm talking about people who are active in HIV support groups and AIDS activism.we are educating ourselves about the disease, become more knowledgable consumers, give up,or make better choices about, behavior that puts us at risk, learn to appreciate each good day and find ourselves better able to deal with bad days, grow in our faith and beliefs, and support each other. As with any other disease or problem in life,it's all in how you look at things. You can the opportunity to grow or you can just give up and die.Me,I intend to live a long long time.
