Question:
Do you believe you have gaps in your nursing education, and if so, what would you like to go back and learn again?
I'll answer first:
We had a horrible Med-Surg rotation--everyone was sick, students and teachers alike. We had about 3 clinical instructors that semester; it was awful. As a result, I still feel like I don't know enough, yet the only way I'll get the knowledge is to get in there and do it.
I don't know which hurts more--- the rock or the hard place....

I am a "learning piggy". I never feel that I know enough about any subject. It is important for all nurses in all specialty areas to accept this about ourselves and about other nurses. Too often we treat a "dumb question" like...well...like a dumb question. The funny thing is that the one who asked just may have the answer to YOUR next "dumb question!"
