wonder if someone could help me !!!!!!!

I know that illness trajectories vary from client to client, but interms of a client with a parapneumonic effusion what would the usual trajectory be. The patient is going to have a chest drain inserted if this helps. This question is really bugging me.

Thanks.

This question does not make sense. You are describing someone with pneumonia that is getting a chest tube? Patients don't get chest tubes for pneuomonia.

If you are looking for a nursing diagnosis - it would be

Risk for infection r/t foreign object in chest

sorry my fault, what i meant to say was what would the normal trajectory be for a patient with a pleural effusion the result of exudate by an inflammatory condition such as pneumonia in particular.

Thanks.
