A co-worker was recently telling me about a gift basket she made for a friend of hers who got promoted. She loaded it with all sorts of small but practical goodies, and put cute notes on the items. For example, she got a bottle of ibuprofen labelled "For headaches from dealing w/ insurance companies," and chocolate labelled with "For a quick pick-me-up." She said she put other items like Tums, extra pens and other small office supplies, etc.
It's not a gift to be kept forever, but it's practical, cute, and the personalization would make it special just for her.
Can anyone think of something that will last a while....you know something memorable? Here's what I've got so far a notepad, Intensive Care: The Story of a Nurse, Notes on Nursing, Dark Chocolate (her fav), Chapstick (bc she's always loosing hers), Ibuprofen, tums, I just want something memorable...you know? So any ideas?

So, my best friend is becoming the Nurse Clinician
on my unit and I want to buy her the perfect gift. She's been a charge nurse on our floor and is now moving up to this role. I want the something that is support and let's her know how proud I am of her. She's absolutely perfect for the position. My plan is to have it sitting on her desk the first day on the job so that she walks in and sees the gift as well as there will be a personal note from me but, I want more to go with it. Does anyone have any ideas? Anything would be helpful...
