Waaaaahhh!! for the second time this week, I've had a couple hours of much-needed sleep, only to be woken up out of a sound sleep with cramps in my feet!! Could not get them gone for more than a half-hour. Was up all night. Went to work on 3 hours of sleep.
Thinking the problem was a lack of K, I had a nice big baked potato tonight with supper.
(As I've whined to you all before, I'm still taking that prednisone.)
Any ideas for a remedy??? I"m fresh out, and I can't pick my foot up or it'll contort. OW~ how annoying!!
I hate those foot cramps....and walking with my shoes off on the cold floor isn't such a good idea at work!
I also have been advised to make sure to get enough fluids all day long. Hydration helps along with keeping those minerals and electrolytes balanced.
Now, when do I have time to drink at work? (and if I drink, when do I have time to pee at work? :) !!)

It's funny reading this thread because I woke up this morning from a muscle pulling in my calf. I jumped out of bed in time to straighten out my foot before it completely pulled. I get these alot when I'm on my feet the whole night and don't stetch. I also did hear of the metal thing too. A pt. once told me she puts a spoon against her calf when it pulls and that it works. I haven't tried it yet as I don't keep spoons by the bed. But I feel for you cuz when they completely pull it is the worse pain I've ever felt in my life.
