Nursing Internship Cover Letter

I am having trouble starting my cover letter. Whose attention should I make it to? "Dear Sir or Madam", "To whom it may concern"? Or should I just choose one of the five nurse recruiter names and address it to this individual?

If at all possible, find out who's in charge of the internship program and address it to him/her specifically. You might try calling the HR department and asking, if they don't specify on their website. If you can't find that out, I'd probably go with the name of one of the recruiters -- shows you've done some research, at least. When you don't have any names at all, I prefer "dear sir or madam" over "to whom it may concern"; the former seems just a little more targeted than the latter.

If I can't locate a specific name of the recruiter, I will address it to: Dear Nursing Recruiter/Hiring Manager

But I agree with coffee nurse, if you have the names of the recruiters & can't figure out which one is in charge of the internship program, I would pick one & go with it. IMO, it always looks better to address it to a person, rather than a generic term.
