Nursing Associations

I would like to know how many here are members of nursing associations and which ones. Thanks for your input. :)

I was a member of the Ohio Nurses Association and the ANA because I worked at a Union hospital represented by the ONA. I no longer work at that facility so my membership has been dropped. It's too expensive.

I am now a member of the AACN, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

member of- ANA and corresponding state nurses' assocaition, and member of AORN (operating room nurses' association)

It can be expensive to join, but these organizations lobby federal and state legislators in our behalf. Physicians and hospital organizations have their lobbyists--we nurses need them too!
