You need to assert yourself in a firm manner and tell your ais exactly what you expect from her, beleive me in the end if you are not arrogant and bi---y you will earn her/his respect and get more help in the future. For some reason most places I have worked, the techs always want to test the new nurses, new grads or not. Good luck!
