My first semester is over!

  1. I had just completed my first semester of pre clinicals. Grades: Chem A-, Math for Health Sc A, Dev Psy A.

I was very worried before the grades came out, because it had been 10 years since I last was in college! I must say that I had studied very hard. I had no social life, but I was enjoying every minute of my school work and had met many great friends.

This summer I am taking A&P-1, Speech, Statistics. This fall I will take A&P-2, Microbiology. Had to obtain permission because A&P-2 is a pre req for Micro.

I read about the coloring book on A&P, my school starts next Tuesday, should I buy it just to help me to study? Who is the author?

Thank you for all your kind advice and opinion when I came for help on deciding which way to go for my nursing education. I really appreciate everything very much! You certainly had made my life easier!

    Happy nursing!

    Congrats on your grades!

I find the anatomy coloring book to be very helpful. I bought mine from for about $16. The title is "The Anatomy Coloring Book Second Edition" by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence M. Elson.

Are you ADN or BSN? I noticed you will be taking Statistics and Speech, which I'm also needing to take for my BSN.

Good Luck with your summer classes!

    Hello Valerie,

Thank you for your post! I will order the book in the morning.

I am in an ADN pre clinical program at the city's community college, which is the only college I could find that offered evening and weekend classes. I felt that an ADN would enable me to start working with patients a little earlier. Will go on for my BSN & MA from there.

    Best wishes, Christina
