    I think that if the situation is causing you continuous distress you should have it checked out. However, if it is intermitent and not interfering with your life too much you could probably could give it more time to resolve. In my case at age 54 I needed a colonoscopy as a routine matter anyway so this gave me an excuse. Either your surgeon or family MD could advise you.
