how to get experience for L&D?

I have recently graduated from university in 2015 and will be an RN for a year coming up in December. I work in a complex medical-tele-medsurg floor and I am just super miserable everyday going into work that it effects my home life. I have worked at this long term acute care hospital overall for 3 years. I was a CNA on the same floor while I was in nursing school but I'm in love with OB nursing specialities ever since my clinical rotation in postpartum/L&D. Working with new moms and dads after birth and during labor was an amazing experience and a feeling I can't describe.

I have been trying so hard to stack certifications NRP,PALS FHM, ACLS, BLS, telemetry monitoring etc. I have been applying over 100+ positions and emailed a couple nurse managers with no luck. I don't want to give up getting my dream job but starting to feel discouraged. How do I get experience...it seems all want postpartum, mother/baby or L&D experience required in all the positions I've applied for...nobody is willing to train. How can I make myself stand out??? I am frustrated because I really want to go back to school for my master's for OBGYN NP/Certified Midwife soon before I start having children. I live in Boston and it's very competitive here. please help with advice.

To Labor & Delivery nurse how did you get to where you are?

Move to a southern border town for a year. You'll have multiple offers and go home with more experience than you could possibly want.
