Our DON applied and just got the job as our new CEO. She was a good DON. I'm thinkin it's about time they had a nurse running a hospital.
Just wondering what you guys think???

This nurse CEO is a real nurse. Lots of ICU experience and worked her way up in the trenches. No long fingernails, comes in dressed in scrubs sometimes. Very pro bedside nurse and is not into degrees.Has a Masters degree but her name tag just says RN. I am very skeptical about most management types but she's made a lot of good changes as the CNO and I think she'll be good for our hospital.
I'll keep you all up to date.
