Hi,
Does anyone know if having a GED is detrimental to nursing school admission? Is there a specific requirement that says you have to have attended high school in order to get a nursing license?
thanks in advance

Do not despair. I had only my GED. I took all of the required prereqs in college (algebra and chemistry).
I had no trouble getting into Nursing school.
Hang in there. You can do it!!!!!

My highschool transcripts were lost and I am from another country, so I decided to start fresh. My grades weren't great anyway back home, but here in US I passed GED with an excellent score, I took Bio, Chem and Algebra and got 97, 98 and 99 % for my grades, so my record could not look better.
Because of that, I had an easier time getting into nursing school and the admissions office was very happy to have me. Everyone wants a student with a good record.
Use this situation for your benefit!
Good luck!
