I have a serious hearing loss, so the electronic Littmann was the best option for me. I don't remember what the tubing length was, I just know that when I tried to look at the wall mounted BP monitors, I had to twist my neck at an awkward angle because the tubing was so short! I ordered a longer tubing, and did not notice any effect on the sound quality. The scope uses one 675 button hearing aid battery, and in the 9 years I've had it, has never, ever needed a single repair, other than having the eartips replaced!

I have had nurses begging to borrow it when needing to hear a very faint BP, but I've never had a problem with it "growing legs!" Of course, now that I'm in community nursing, I don't have to worry nearly so much.
