Denied employement d/t Adderall????????

Freaking out as I await word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hired at a local hospital and had the first part of a 2 part physical last Thursday which included a urine drug test. Anyway. Im on adderall and disclosed that to them and brought my script with me but they said they didn't need it. So they call me 5 days later and asked if I was on medication, I'm like...........Ah yeah ( I mean I did tell that to them prior), so they asked me to bring in script and I did. The secretary wrote it down and said ok Thankyou and thats all she said. As I sit here and wait for them to call me for the second part of physical, I'm freaking thinking they could deny me for employment d/t being that Adderall is an amphetamine!!!!!! I'm I over analyizing this???????? Any thoughts. Thank you.

I know how you feel, I took my urine drug screen while I had a cold, so I had OTC cold medicine in my system and OTC allergy relief and I though that was reason to worry because their was no where to list what I had taken. But I read through the paperwork on what they were testing for, and they look at parts per (some unit) of different drugs that could be in your system, it would be unlikely that even on a prescription of Adderall that it would show up high enough to render a raised eyebrow. As long as you have a prescription and are taking the reccomended dose, you have nothing to worry about.

I never disclose my medications or medical history, unless specifically asked to.

It is none of anyone elses business, and by law, cannot even be disclosed by your treating doctor. And I've never been given a urine drug test.

But you have a script so I wouldn't worry too much.

Are you saying the testing center is not allowed to disclose the medicine you take to a potential school/employer if you have a valid prescription?
