Hi, I just moved here and have just started to look for a position. I was wondering if you could tell me what the average pay is for RN with 12 yrs, the last year I've worked in ICU before that various things. Thank you!!!!!

I am mostly from Charleston. If I may make a broad, sweeping generalization (ha ha), law and healthcare are the only ways to make money there! Although it is a beautiful place to be, it's tough to make a good living...cost of living is increasing there, but salaries are not. My impression is that if you are in those two fields, though, you can afford Charleston much more easily. I did not decide to go into nursing until after I moved away from there four years ago...would love to know how it goes, nursing in Charleston. I feel sure I'll want to return one day! Roper and MUSC both have reputations as great hospitals. St. Francis has a good one, too. Trident did not have such a good reputation when I left. Maybe it's improved since then, though.
