On call/call in pay is 25%. Rarely use on call pay; use call-in pay for an "imminent" shortage -- must be less than 24 hours.

We get $1 an hour for being on call and our usually hourly rate for when we are actually called in...we take call (at our option) whenever the census is low, which recently has been all of the time! :-( We do have the option of refusing call and coming in to read policy / procedure manuals or to critique educational videos...LOL. I worl Med/Surg in a small rural hospital in Nebraska.

I'm not sure of our endo call pay, but our ICU call pay is less than 2 bucks an hour. We now have a policy of no cancels, put everyone on call. When census is down it's real aggravating. :(

Specializes in pre hospital, ED, Cath Lab, Case Manager.

Call pay for cath lab about $2.50/hr. Call starts at end of scheduled work day and lasts until 07:00 the next morning. Full timers are expected to do 7 days of call per month, including one weekend. Part timers are supposed to be prorated time wise, but that hasn't happened in a while, we still do 7 days of call. When we get called in, it's a minimum of three hours call pay which is time and a half with shift differential if applicable. Even if we get called off before arriving. We finish out the day which can be a real drag. We all take two holidays. If we get called in and the next day is slow, my manager tries to let the call team go home early, it doesn't always happen. We used to take call for 7 days straight, but at the end you could be a zombie. I've been known to get 27 plus hours of over time in a week due to call. Wonderfully, this does not happen quite that frequently anymore.

$5 per hour for on call.. Call back guarenteed a minimum of 2 hours, (federal law, I am told). If you are called back it is at time and a half.

We take call approximately 1xper week. Taking call is mandatory as we are homecare hospice and we work M-F regular business hours. We have one weekend nurse who does visits on the week end and takes call for the entire weekend.
