I'm sorry if I am wasting your time with silly questions....
So I applied for the nursing program at SFSU (It's actually in conjunction with Canada College for 2nd bach students (me).
I applied in November and won't find out until end March/first week April. I feel nauseous EVERY day just thinking about it.
My b/f says that I will be fine and he knows I'll get in. I think I am a great candidate (not to toot my horn), but I have wanted to be a nurse for *years*: I helped my mom raised my brother who was a near-drowning victim. He was 3 when it happen and suffered permanent brain damage from it. He died in 2001.
I have a 3.9, have worked in academic, research, and clinical medicine at UCLA, Stanford, and UCSF. I have volunteered a **ton**, too. I have great letter so rec.
My worry, though is that one of the "extra credit" supplemental criteria is having multicultural experience or speaking a second language. I am not FLUENT in another language, but know some German and Spanish.
I am afraid that because I am not fluent, I won’t get it and I will have to sit around for another year. I honestly think I am going to get an ulcer. There are 40 seats for over 300 applicants.
I get so sad thinking that I might not get in….
HELP!!!
